Hello All,

I recently installed ALSA drivers from PCQ CD(Aug 2001). After I installed ALSA the system started giving ringing sound. I noticed that if I stop aRTS server I get normal sound again. Basically I prefer aRTS as it blends two simultaneous sound events and plays both at same time. But I prefer ALSA too as default 'sndconfig' driver only plays at 48.8KHz rate.

Another problem is if I do not start aRTS and I open 'kmedia' it internally starts aRTS. Also KDE seems to use aRTS if available.

What could be the problem? and solution?

I use i810(AC97) sound card.
