Just out of curiousity , I wanna know which ISP you have? And in which area?
Because it looks like a progressive ISP . PPPOE is standards based technology and it effectively ensures access from all OS's. , and not just windows as is the case of SIFY who use a LAN-Gateway model and just have a shitty proprietary dilaer for windows.

Honestly, I am clueless! The people I take it from are VCPL (Vasai Cable Private Limited), but they probably get the bandwidth from someone else. A quick lookup at http://aruljohn.com/details.php (IP address tracker) tells me my provider is `Sikkanet'.
I would actually prefer BSNL, but they are everywhere in Vasai except at *our* exchange.
