Hi,
How do I setup the path for a user. All my new installed apps are not in the path so I can't use tab to autocomplete.

As root edit the /etc/profile directory. set the PATH=$PATH:/usr/newbin/ where newbin is the directory where you have installed the new program. Isnt this in a list of FAQ anywhere? If it isnt then please put it in the FAQ.

What OS are you asking about ? As far as I know, Linus came up with his *baby* in 1991 :)

No, it's correct. It's pronounced as the word "lecture" but it's actually spelt "lacture". "lecture" is proprietary -- this is an open source clone. The 'a' is to emphasize the importance of Admins.
If you don't believe me, you have a decent sense of humour.
