You might want to include a topic the next time you write an email to the LUG.

The latter will probably provide you the drivers u need.
It might also be a good idea to check on /etc/rc.d/rc.modules to see if there
is a module that supports your sound card. If there is one, then just
uncomment that, if not then use ALSA.
