To best of my knowledge you can use partition magic which is a free software available for download. You can boot your computer using pqmagic floppy.

Thank you for your prompt reply.Well , Can you guide me how to go about deleting the partitions as i cannot see the linux partition when i boot to win98 .I do not have much experience using fdisk.
