Hi
A customer of mine wanted to install a 260 GB IDE HDD on this GNU/Linux server... He wanted to know if it would work. I told him to check the motherboard manual to confirm if the BIOS would support it. The kernel version is 2.2 (RH9) using ext3 file system so I guess it should support a partition size of 2TB.... right?
Anyone here on the list tried it as yet? Any tips / advise on what to watch out for before buying the disk?
Regards
Rishi

I have tried making a single ext3 partition on my 80GB disk and it worked...
I think Redhat 7.1 onwards have 2.4 kernel.
