Hi Jon, when are you leaving? We have not had any meet for months. Maybe some interested people can meet at a place.
It's been a long time since we have had a Lug meeting Anurag. What I'm suggesting some of you may not like it hey it's just an idea that we have been tinkering with for some time, why can't few of the guys meet and just have a discussion on any or all topics or problems they have Why do we need to organise a classroom like atmosphere with one person giving a talk on some subject....(man I had enough of that during college)
Actually I was one of those who went to meet John Masters (British visitor seeks linuxers)he made a interesting point that one of the Lugs groups around London actually meet up once a month at a Curry house and just discuss what each other are doing and what problems they face...
I'm game for the idea of sitting in a coffee shop and discussing (remember Barista's I think we discussed more there than we discussed in MET). No don't get me wrong I do not advertise or promote Barista. but what I'm saying is we could meet any where even at khar promenade or juhu who cares as long as LIKE MINDED PEOPLE meet and talk...

We do this in Bangalore and other parts of the world. They are called BoF (Birds of a Feather) meets. You don't need to organise it at all.
You just announce on the list that you'd like to meet up at a specific location and post your phone number. If others are interested, they'll call you back. After the meeting, send a short post to the list about what you did.

why do you think i made this post? a strong mumbai team led by jtd and rony would certainly liven things up (as if they are not lively enough)

We will not change the schedule for this meet up.
However, I have put up a poll at http://redhat.meetup.com/16/poll/31237/
Please vote for the convenient location.
I will also create a poll for convenient time for Nov. 2005 meet up.

I was at big Bazar in Lower Parel and I found many friends groups hanging out there in the compound and no obligation to buy anything. Just noticed it so mentioned it.
Regards,
Rony.
