If we could host the meets in the Central or Harbour lines, I'd be really grateful.
The earlier I leave Mumbai for Nashik, the better chances of me getting a good night's sleep before going to work the next day. On a smooth traffic day, this is the time I take to reach Nashik
From Dadar - 5.30 hours From Thane - 3.30 hours From Kalyan - 3.00 hours
My location preference would be IIT (KReSIT), TIFR (Mankhurd), MET (Bandra), someother place (Novell - Andheri MIDC?).
Thanks,
-- Sriram

Hi Sriram,
I vote for 1) HBCSE - Mankhurd or 2) MET - Bandra. 3) IIT - KReSIT
All are at equal distance for me :)

Hi, friends, It would be great for the linux users of the central suburbs if there would be a lug meet at say Thane,Dombivili or Kalyan.

This thread is fast degenerating into a "me too" thread. I hope better sense will prevail and we can discuss more relevant topics than just haggling on the meet venue. Probably a discussion on I want to give a talk on Free software-related topic at the meet could be more relevant. I think it would be better to leave the venue to the Meet organising committee. Please exercise some restraint to get better signal to noise ratio on this list.

The best way to figure out preferred venues would be to set up an online poll. Can that be set up on this list? I know that Yahoogroups has got an online poll feature.
