Hi all, I have a 2 yr old PC with the following specs:
ASUS A7V8X-MX SE Motherboard (mATX) AMD Athlon XP 2600+ VIA KM 400 Chipset 256 MB RAM (DDR 266) 40 GB HDD MATX cabinet, 240 W power supply
As this is an mATX motherboard so I was wondering if I can install this Motherboard in an ATX cabinet. Please tell me is it possible to do so and also is the power supply unit of An ATX cabinet compatible with an mATX motherboard.
Thanks in advance. Regards, Antriksh

It should be possible. But before buying, ask your supplier for a confirmation with a return-if-not-compatible assurance.

AFAIK, you can. Only thing is that the screws must match up with the ATX cabinet. The power supply should be fine. I think mATX and ATX use the same connector. But confirm it before you buy the ATX cabinet. If possible, carry your board to the shop and check it out before you buy...
