I cleaned my links ( by using $cleanlinks cmd ) inside INIT directories ...ie rcS,rc1,rc2 ( /etc/rc*)
Now i have lost all the these bootup files ....the good part is ive not lost all of these files , but yes most (importants ) of them and the worst part it ..with the rest of the files i can hadly play around
Can someone help me know if i can make them all over again without installating nux.

more importantly.... which distro?
most store the real files in /etc/init.d and you hava deleted the symlinks
rc0->6 => the specific runlevel you start in
boot in single mode and re-create the symlinks.. though make sure you prepend the K & S (kill, start) along with the number. If you do not know what the above means.. i suggest you look at another m/c and copy the same...
alternately ask some with the same distribution.. to tar.gz the files and mail them across.. and dump them in the same dir.
