Hi,
One of our PC with 8GB HD, 64MB RAM, 52X CD-ROM
Drive,
is having two partitions of 4GB each. One
partitions
has Windows 2000, & the other Linux 6.1.

i doubt it has nythin to do with ny missin
hardware...iin that case things wouldn't have worked
in the 1st place.
Thereis some things u can check out though....check
out ur Xserver installation....tweak it if
necessary....check the VRAM settings of if u have a
shared board architecture like the i810-or the 845's
have a look at the settings for VRAM that u hav
specified...
Apart from that there is little that u can
do....also test that u can run is...while havin
booted into GUI mode....from ur command prompt run..
bash#top
This will tell u the processes hoggin memory,
logically speaking the Xserver would be the resource
hog.....but just in case somethin else is causin the
mess....

When I type startx at the command prompt, it will
take
too much time to start the xwindows & once it
starts,
it will take too much time to execute even simple
commands. Is it a problem with the software or any
hardware component is missing. Please help me out.
