I haven't seen the actual specs, only the general PR stuff published on this and other lists. An HCL guy (let me refer to him as a ;-) reliable source) told me prelaunch that the product takes advantage of the massive economies of scale in purchasing that HCL achieves. Specific to our conversation, they have an 14" LCD screen bought at unbelievably competitive prices because the flavour of the month is 15" screens.
btw, on another thread (it really is a lot of trouble to cut and paste correctly from digests), someone (I think it was Rony) asked about the logic of using a 300W board to play MP3s through a 50W amp: I think desktops drawing 300W include the monitor. The current draw of the plain board will be much lower, maybe sub-50W.
