Hi, I installed the 2.6.1 kernel and having problems with initrd. My GRUB.CONF looks like this-

upgrade ur modutils package from fedora along with ur rpm.

#depmod -V module-init-tools 0.9.14
I have read the ./Documentation/Changes for the minimum requirement of tools and downloaded and installed them too.
