In any case 3d support is problematic on most chipsets under linux because of propietory and patented stuff in the 3d engines. U may be able to get good color tho.

I use ASUS KM266,VIA chipset. Use xorg. It has VIA drivers. I use the same. Configuring DRI is difficult.
