This is for those still on the path to comeplete nirvana.....:D. When you need to play around with some good old "bash" at your "cmd". Cygwin on MS is a good bet. Been there for a long time and worth a post.

You can also try UNXUTILS, It has an WIN32 port for quite a few GNU utils, for e.g. commands like grep,cat,find, etc.. quite a few of them. check it out
at http://unxutils.sourceforge.net
