I have been trying to get the Rtl 8139D lan card running on linux 2.6.14 and also looked up the internet but with no hope if anyone has used or seen support for this card on *nix please help and point me to the required modules. Thx, Francis Pereira
Ps : The rtl 8139A/B/C have support in the 2.6.14 kernel.

http://forums.fedoraforum.org/forum/showthread.php?t=87760&page=2 refer to this link.. it uses a utility called ndiswrapper for building a wrapper based on the windows drivers... i had the same chipset based card by zebronics, but my kernel was too old for ndiswrapper, i guess it requires 2.6.6, so i guess ul have to upgrade...

Hi,
Have you tried the 8139c+ module?
Either ways, when I bought my lan card I got a driver cd which has a driver for rtl8139d (or atleast it claims to be). It has a single c source file and a guide.
If you want it then mail me off list. I can tar it and send it to you.
Regards, Siddhesh

Try ndiswrapper (http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/). It worked for me. You'll need to have the Windows drivers, and you may need to compile ndiswrapper from source.
