Hi all, I'm in the market for a USB bluetooth dongle and plan to go to Lamington Road in a few days.I'm running Ubuntu 9.04 64 bit,so what brand or shop do you guys recommend based on experience?I know such issues have been discussed time and again on this list, but the link for searching the mailing list archives on the wiki is currently not functioning,so please guide me as to where and on what I can get the best deal.I plan to use it only occasionally.

I bought one ultra cheap USB bluetooth (says Zippys on the body) and it just worked on my Ubuntu 8.04 without any complains.
So go ahead and buy the cheapest available in market. It will work with high probability.

I had got a cheap USB dongle which uses bluesoleil drivers on Windows. Bought it about 5 years ago for some Rs. 450 and it's still working fine for me. By now the cost must have surely less than halved.

Purchased a dongle named Bluetooth two years ago for Rs.450. Never got it to work, although it is detected by the kernel, i could never get it to work. Even today.

Been using the following BT dongle for over 2 years, works beautifully with Linux, KDE, etc.:
Bus 003 Device 003: ID 1131:1001 Integrated System Solution Corp. KY- BT100 Bluetooth Adapter
The adapter has an "Enter" logo on it.

I bought the 'Enter' brand, which was recommended by our Amish Mehta I believe. It works fine in Linux.

Is the 'Enter' brand the same as that mentioned by Raj above? The KY-BT100 bluetooth adapter with an 'Enter' logo on it?
And any recos for shops? So I should expect a price range between Rs. 225 to Rs.300 I guess.

It is Enter. I don't have the actual model no. but on the packing it is written 'High Speed Version 2.0'. It should cost between 250 to 300.
