Hello List,
1. Has anyone in the list tried out a _true_ GNU/Linux based OS?
http://www.gnu.org/links/links.html#FreeGNULinuxDistributions
I would be glad if anyone could burn a copy of AGNULA LIVE CD on my media (CD-R).
2. Is there some data on the exact number of people who are going to attend the public lecture? (I would surely attend, if I don't have lectures at college.)
3. If someone can burn a copy of FC5 CD 3 and give to me on 27 at the public lecture, I would be thankful.

hi roshan, why don't you try ubuntu? I mean unless it is absolutely necessary for you to use fedora, I will suggest just install ubuntu and try. it has been used successfully by first time linux users also. it will give you all the tools like open office and mosila and firefox. it also have movy player and mp3 player. there is even one great feature. you get c: and d: and all windows drives open by default. and after all fedora or ubuntu or debian, linux is the same. I will give you on 27th try it.
thanks, Krishnakant.

Is this at all related to the email you replied to? Next time someone mentions some distro other than Gentoo, I'll start preaching them to use Gentoo instead!

I'm attending and am bringing along a friend of mine who's tried RH a few years back. He isn't a member of the LUG, but he's interested. I may also bring along another such friend, who's not a member of the LUG but is interested in Linux.
