Hi,
Has anyone on the list managed to get the TATA Indicom CDMA data card working on Linux? As of now, the card is detected and configured as /dev/ttyUSB0. I guess I am missing the modem AT commands that I would require while configuring KPPP.

Wvdial works perfectly with Tata Indicom card.
my /etc/wvdial.conf file looks like this:
[Dialer Defaults] Init1 = ATZ Init2 = ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1 &D2 +FCLASS=0 Modem Type = Analog Modem Baud = 460800 New PPPD = yes Modem = /dev/ttyUSB0 ISDN = 0 Phone = #777 Password = internet Username = internet

Thanks Anurag. That worked like a charm. Just one problem though, when I connect using Airtel GPRS, KPPP dialer automatically adds the DNS addresses to /etc/resolv.conf . This doesn't happen when I dial using wvdial. Am I missing something here?
Also, I have permanently added the DNS servers given by Airtel to resolv.conf, but I am unable to resolve any hostnames until I manually add the DNS addresses given when dialing out using the data card. Ideally, the airtel DNSs should work too... right?
Now the only thing left is to get it working using KPPP as that is what I use for connecting using Airtel GPRS. I guess it's better to stick to one dialer.

In my case wvdial writes the isp supplied dns entries in resolv.conf In any case i keep my local forwarding dns server ready :)

wvdialconf and then wvdial should work fine IMO. Regards, BG
