I do not understand the question. What executes unix? Unix is the system, so my guess is the boot loader executes it. What executes the boot loader? that would be the BIOS. What executes the BIOS? that would be nothing. The BIOS is the first place that control goes to

when

the system is powered up.

BIOS is executed by the voltage trigger...

AFAIK BIOS instructions are executed by the processor starting from the Reset address of the CPU which is defined in the architecture ;)
