Hello, Fonts are not OS-specific - You can use ttf fonts on linux... code 2000 is a ttf font. that supports unicode, and devanagari too. The following site contains code 2000 some other ttf fonts http://home.att.net/~jameskass/

'Raghu', a freely available OpenType font, can be downloaded from

You can get raghu and bharathi from there. They are both used in indix.
