Just a note... I think it is more proper for people to prefix their subject line with key words like COMMERCIAL, ANNOUNCEMENT, etc. to give a straight idea as to what the post contains.
Came across certain posts which can definitely be regarded as commercials, going under names like "Workshop" etc.... people, PLEASE indicate earlier on that it's a commercial.
and dint know that we could carry posts on stuff like embedded systems etc. on a linux group too.... guess its time for me to start marketing my CAD on Linux workshops by industry experts on linuxers@mm.ilug-bom.org.in, huh?
regards, vishal.

If properly marked as [ANNOUNCE], or [WORKSHOP], etc., it is okay as long as it is for informational purposes. There are many people on this list who would be interested in such announcements.
Once it starts getting commercial, it would be frowned upon.
Hi,
I have a linux server that was running fine for quite a while. Its mainly used as an informix server, but also has some java programs doing some db access.
For a few days now I get the following error message when I run dmesg after informix / other programs crash.
Unable to load interpreter /lib/ld-linux.so.2 VM: killing process java VM: killing process automount VM: killing process crond VM: killing process java <further output ommited>
How do I go about trying to find out more about the cause of this error ? I am not sure if its a database problem causing the crash or a linux o/s corruption.
Thanks Shahed.
PS: I am runing RedHat Linux 6.2 (2.2.14-5.0)

You are probably hitting the max open files limit which means it can't open /lib/ld-linux.so.2. Try below command.
echo 32768 > /proc/sys/fs/file-max
- cnb
