I am from same area. I have setup my pacenet connection in fedora. They use pppoe. You have to call them up and tell them that you want to use linux. They will give a new username like "yourusername@linuxuser" Then you can login using Rp-PPPOE from the new ID.
BTW Ubuntu has pppoe builtin I think , so once you get your new usename just issue command "pppoeconf" as root and it guides you through a wizard. I was never able to connect from Ubuntu though as it kept on giving errors regarding maximum MTU/MRU. I didnt try later in Ubuntu but I think an MTU of 1412 will do it. -- The Future is Open...The Future is LINUX
