I would like to have an arrangement where we can show the installation of Debian or gentoo (if time permits), and a lecture on using emacs. Anyone who can do this?

Hi Amish !
Could you send me the agenda for the LUG meet. I can then put it up on the ILUG-BOM site.
Cheers Kapil Karekar

I would love to demonstrate a network install of Debian in the next meet ... that's in VJTI, right? Jaju, any chance of getting ftp.iitb.ac.in accessible by then?
Sameer.

Uh, I just did it, using a hard drive and a network.
Started with loadlin and the boot and root images on a small DOS partition. Ended with a full Debian install. The entire install was done over the Internet, no floppies or CDs were involved (not including the swapping-hard-drives-because-I-forgot-to-reactivate-/dev/hda1 part).

I'll try to get that done.

I am assuming that max 50 people will attend the meet. Can anyone give a better estimate.
If there is going to be any demo, a computer will be needed. Please let me know.
We need to freeze the room to book for the meet.

Hello Chetan,
I am planning to give a seminar on Logical Volume Manager on Linux. However I am not sure about it and will let you know latest by Saturday morning. My requirements are meagre. Just a PC (preferably running Linux) :) with any browser installed as the slides will be in HTML.
Also I feel there won't be more than 50 people.
