Hi ,This is santosh Here. I need small need from you expertise. I have configured squid-2.5.STABLE11-3.i386 for ncsa authentication.In the squid .conf I have configured like this.
auth_param basic program /usr/lib/squid/ncsa_auth /etc/sqpasswd acl tifr proxy_auth REQUIRED http_access allow tifr
In the browser it asks for userd ID and Password. But it says page not found after that. In the access.log it says TCP_DENIED/407. In the cache.out it says

I have tried eaven with squid-2.5.STABLE9-7.i386. But stiil it is same problem. Same Configuration is working on debian. But it not working on Fedora for authencation.
Can anybody please help me ?????????????????????????????????

This could be due to permissions on ncsa_auth. Most probably you have to set setuid bit on this executable. Squid runs as user "squid"
