I have an 810e with Aureal 8810 sound card onboard which although gets detected by sndconfig then gives me a message "The Aureal 8810 card is not supported". Any guesses on how sound can be played.?

Get the aureal driver for the board ..... ( or write one for yourself ) http://aureal.sourceforge.net/ just check this site.
