hi, i have a LG studioworks 700E monitor and Intel845GL Chipset motherboard from Microtek. I am facing a lot of problems in display( X and text mode ) and sound.

The problem is that in X when i increase the resolution to 1280*1024 the monitor tells me out of frequency and shuts off.

In TEXT MODE if I change the font( /etc/sysconfig/i18n ) a page full of display dosesnt scroll of the screen. Like if i do a $ls on a huge directory i get the first page of display and the prompt disappears down the screen...i then have to do a $clear to get back the prompt.

In X terminal gives absurd display. With characters placed anywhere on the screen.

My sound card ( built-in ) AC 97 doesnt get detected and ARTS says sound device error...using NUll device for /dev/dsp.

Could soem one tell me where to get the dirvers for this Motherboard( its not there on www.microtekdirect.com ) . Also how to install these drivers on linux.

I have the drivers for WINDOWS( from the Motheroard CD ) so everything works fine there.
