Does anybody know how to install REDHA= T 9.0 over MANDRAKE without losing data and without having to format (if it= is possible).I have already made partitions for home, usr, boot, swap, ...= .

preserve your /home and /swap. Save your /etc as well(if you have custom confgis there). When installing RH, format the other partitions. Does'nt make sense to install X over Y

Never tried it. During the interactive setup don;t format the /home partition (which would be having your data)
;-) let us know if you sucessfully install the same... planning to upgrade to redhat 9.0
