What parameters do you think would be most relevant for generation of an invariant for a particular hardware setup?
A combination of cpuid, mac address, ip address and a md5 checksum of /proc/<some file that i cannot remember> could give you a good key for a linux machine
The file i am talking about has info that is specfic to the hardware with irqs settings etc etc. Hope this helps
