I wish to register my formal and indignant protest at the way fred is spamming this list. As even the rawest of newbies knows, if one feels something is of interest, one just has to post the link on the list leaving it to the individual to pursue it further. In blatant breach of netiquette fred insists on not only giving the link but also quoting from the link ad nauseum. Imagine what would happen if every member of the list started doing the same? I fail to see why fred should get special priveleges in this regard. Listadmin are you listening?

amen !! valid point kenneth. promoting oneself repeatedly on a public list is not proper netiquette and this is not the first time either. afaik, admins can issue a warning and definitely block /ban such posters if he/she persists, with a notice to the list as to why this action was taken...provided they exercise the powers they hold.
