i have a samsung 52x cdrom drive, which has recently started giving me problems it used 2 work fine with my previous rhl7.1 installation.now i use rhl7.3. whenever i try 2 use the "eject" option after right clicking the cdrom icon on the desktop, the hdd is accessed for some secs, then the cdrom light glows for some secs, but the cdrom tray doesn't open. the same thing happens even if i try 2 manually eject the cdrom tray by pressing the button below the cdrom tray.

i don't seem 2 understand the problem. the cdrom drive is 2 yrs old, & i haven't done ne cd drive cleaning since. is it bcoz of this?

also plz throw some light as 2 how do i clean the cdrom drive.
