hi, I am using Squid as my http proxy,I Want all the http traffic coming from squid should be diverted to another proxy running on my windows system, so how can I do this any settings should be made to squid.conf ? _____________________________________________________________

Hello, How to install PCQLinux 7.01 on extended partition ? My current system configuration is Win98 system with 10.2 GB HDD It has extended partition drive E: . Now to the point, How to create Linux-native partitions on this drive E: I have tried partitionless installation but didn't worked. Riva TNT AGP & Creative Vibra Compatibilty in Linux

Hi all, I'm planning to purchase an AGP and a sound card for my home PC. My vendor has offered me Riva TNT AGP with 16/32 mb VRAM and Creative Vibra Sound Card. The other option is an AGP from Trident. However, the performance is not as good as that of Riva. I just wanted to make sure their compatibility with Linux. If someone has any good/bad experience with the above mentioned h/w in Linux, then plz let me know. Thanks a lot in advance. Warm Regs, Kinjal Sonpal

>Did you save settings when exiting from make menuconfig? Yes I did save it. But anyways, the kernel compiled well finally. Instead of make menuconfig, I chose make config and then it worked well. I guess when I used make menuconfig, the settings probably might have not saved though I saved it. Can't figure out why that happened? Now with the new kernel compiled in, when I give startx, the screen just goes blank and I see disk access for few seconds and then everything halts. Do I have to tweak some settings for the X to run properly on the new kernel?
