I have the following suggestions for all project listings in general:
1. Please give a small explaination as to what the project is all about.
This helps the uninitiated. For example, the BootCD project is: ...
2. Please specify any particulars: for example, the due date for the completed project is: ...
2. As students (I suppose, you signed in as students), you won't be able to create projects. So please use the forum (within the groupware, if you are registered, or the other one, if you have not registered) to list your project.
I suppose this will help in the following ways:
1. the luggerz will understand exactly what the project is all about
2. luggerz can decide whether they have the know-how to guide the project and volunteer as mentors.
3. maintain some basic online listing for projects/students/mentors.
These are my personal views. I wud welcome suggestions / changes / modifications to this procedure.

hello luggerz
this is to announce that we are taking up the BootCD project.
i know this announcement is being repeated but there were
some probs within the group which have now been sorted out.
The people who are doing this are:-
1. Gaurav Shah
2. Amit Rai
3. Gurpreet Singh
now, the next step, who of u brilliant ppl out there is
act as the mentor for this project.
Since we are students and havent made any formal projects
so we wud need to know the methodology in detail (the spec
sheet and all the formal stuff i mean). we wud also need
quite some technical guidance too.
we are not in mumbai itself , but we plan to do things
in our college and we can keep coming to mumbai once in
a while.
guyz plz take the next step asap...
Gaurav, amit n Gurpreet

Pancake make-up is invented; most people continue to prefer syrup.
Hi,
How can I configure two LAN cards in Linux. And I want to configure
routing between this cards. ie , How will I configure linux as a router, as
I need to configure this machine as a proxy server.
Pls help me
thanks,
Rajesh
I am logged in to host A.
I want to ssh to host B without giving a password.
I run ssh-keygen on A.
I copy-paste the public key file to B.
I attempt ssh from A to B. B asks for password.
What am I doing wrong?
(Leave aside that not using ssh-agent and passphrases is insecure.)

Hello,
I would like to remind you of the brainstorming-cum-debate session on
the topic titled: "What makes computer games playable?" coming on Friday
August 9, 2002 at 6:30pm at NCST, Gulmohar Cross Road 9, Juhu, Mumbai
400049.
This event would be held as a part of the ACM meeting, which is held
once every month.
Although, the topic is quite general, it is recommended that you read
*something* regarding this topic. A good exemplary reference material
is: http://www.vancouver.wsu.edu/fac/peabody/game-book/Coverpage.html
(This reference is a bit dated but nevertheless may still be useful)
Hopefully, you'll read more about this topic -- and not read ONLY the
reference cited above :) -- for the discussion/debate to be fruitful.
Hoping to see you here!
regards
- JJH
ps - If you are interested in giving a seminar for ACM please contact me.

Dear all,
Trevor pointed out that the mentors could not create projects under the
projects section in phprojekt. I have made some changes for this to take
effect. New users who sign in as mentors will now be able to create new
projects. As for those already signed in, I made the changes manually.
Please let me know if anyone faces any problem in signing in, especially
existing users. I am also in the process of changing the forum to
something more accessible - something which won't require a login, and
with search abilities.
Also..there was a post sometime back regarding a repository of
configuration files. Any ideas of how we could go about it (in the site
or in the groupware)?
