[ILUG-BOM]Decompressing hdstg2.img

Hi all, I am trying to decompress hdstg2.img from Redhat 9.0 CD from /redhat/base folder to extract contents unfortunately it does not looks to be compressed in standard format gunzip < hdstg2.img > hd.img failed with the error stdin: not in gzip format This did worked when I tried long back in 6.2 Any help will be appreciated Regards

Hi, I have Redhat 7.3 on compaq prolient ML320 server. On this machine i have configured a mail server. Every day i get the the follwoing message on console. (SCSI0:A:1:0) locking max count at 64 Please help me out to get rid of this message. Regards Bhandari

HI, i am doing knoppix remastering.i want to work with "synaptic".for that i set $DISPLAY and exporetd it as follows.. #DISPLAY=myip:0.0///myip= my ip addr #export DISPLAY and then did #synaptic the error is ********************** Xlib: connection to "myip:0.0" refused by server Xlib no protocol specified GTK warning **: cannot open display: *********************** Then i tried #xhost + again the same error occured... plz can anybody help me to get around the problem and proceed with "synaptic" thanx in advance.... vivekanand __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? I think a few days back someone on the list requested for help on motorola sm6 modem driver. Incidentally i came across this site, http://www.angelfire.com/linux/sm56/ where the user simply deleted a line in the kernel module source, recompiled and got the modem to work under Mandrake. Hi Group, I have implemented message queue to communicate between two processes. Message queue is created by using IPC-wait. An XP-Com component running JavaScript and main application. The main application waits till some message is put by the Java Script application in the message queue. At this stage, if GDB is used for debugging, the application hangs. What is the workaround for this? I need to use fprint for each line to debug, which is quite tiring. Regards, Ramachandra
