Triple boot Red Hat 9, Windows Me and SuSE 9.0

I do most of my software development on Red-Hat 9 since it was new. My test system is a Pentium 4 /1.7 GHz on an Intel D845GEBV2 motherboard with 512k DDR-SDRAM. Put in a Samsung CDROM and three 40GB-7200 rpm Samsung Puma hard disk drives. [hda, hdb and hdd] hda on my computer has Red Hat 9 hdb has Windows Me Wanting to check-out what SuSE had to offer, I bought a SuSE Professional Linux 9.0 box. SuSE installed uneventfully on hdd, but now Red-Hat 9 wont boot. It chokes when it finds SuSEs Reiser filesystem and /boot Disabling hdd (Secondary Slave) in bios, lets my Red Hat 9 on hda (Primary Master) boot normally. Any suggestions how to get SuSE 9.0 and Red Hat 9 to coexist? Ram

Help on Squid2Mysql Authentication problem.

Hi Guys, Something what happened today.We have some 10 machine connected to switch.Immd non of those machine were able to ping !!! Resetting a switch did the trick!! But i'm dono how ? How could the trick choke the n/w The switch what we are using is old "3Com super stack II" -Dilip.M

cpio help...

Hello Friends, I use Red Hat Linux 9. I have 3 CDs of a certain application for linux. All the CDs contain only one file with the extension ..cpio.gz I unzipped it using gzip but how to extract files from .cpio format. I read the man page for CPIO but could not understand it. rh9.0 too slow !

Hi, I installed RH 9 on my system : Celeron= 1.2Ghz on an Intel 810e2 Chipset with RAM : 2 chips of 512 MB and 25= 6 MB, each detected to half it's capacity, to give 256+128 = 384 MB= . RH 9 detected this correctly DURING INSTALL. I got it installed and = all, but now it's VERRY slow and unresponsive. This same pr= oblem had occured when I had switched my system from a P3 to a Celero= n 1.2 (along with a RAM change from 128 single to the current scenari= o). WHy is the system so slow ?
