If "redhat-config-network-gui" is the same dialog brought up from the Desktop Start Menu->System..->Network. I tried that before posting here.. it shows the network card inactive. I tried putting in a static IP instead of the default DHCP, didn't work. I get a message box "Unable to activate..."

[Admin] Festival Alert

Knoppix doesnt detect my CDs

hi I use knoppix 3.4. When i load cd into my cdrom or into my cdRW and click on the CD-ROM icons under devices i get the follwing error message twice.... 1. mount: special device /dev/cdrom1 does not exist Please check that the disk is entered correctly 2.mount: special device /dev/cdrom does not exist Please check that the disk is entered correctly Also k3b deos not detect any CD-ROMs or CD-RWs in the I use a Asus CD-RW writer and a Samsung CD-ROM I did not encounter any problems when i tried to burn CDs in Xandros (but the burning speed is too less - 4KBps). Can anybody guide me as to what might be going wrong and how to tackle this situation. By the way, Happy Dipawali guys. Fedora Core 3 released

Fedora Core 3 is now available for download. FC3 includes support for Hindi, Punjabi, Gujrati, Bangla and Tamil. The Lohit family of fonts for these languages are included with FC3. These fonts have been released under GPL. http://fedora.redhat.com/download/mirrors.html Venky

Php Problem

Hi Sorry I forgot the error_log it says "child exit signal Segmentation fault (11)". <?php phpinfo(); ?> also produces the same result. short_open_tag is set to "on". Problem working with php

Hi all, I am facing some problems with working on "php". I have installed Apache 2 as the webserver on a RedHat 9.I also have mysql installed. I downloaded the php-5.0.2 source and on running the ./configure --with-mysql --with-apxs2 there are no error messages. make and make install also don't give any error messages. In the httpd.conf file th following lines were added LoadModule php5_module modules/libphp5.so AddType application/x-httpd-php .php But then upon opening any "php" file I still get a blank page in the browser.
