Hi! Can anyone give a link to ncst-term or perhaps mail it to me ? I have searched all over but it seems it is part of some distro or other. I would really like Unicode support in Pine. Differences between Bolnagari and My Keyboard driver

Dear all, Sometimes back Dr. Nagarjun was asking about difference between Bolnagari and My keyboard driver. Please Note These are the differences : ============== Bol-nagari ============== Bolnagari is keyboard layout created by Indlinux team. it supports only phonetic XKb keyboard layout by using compose key feature supported by Operating system. They are just adding the kmaps to the system rest is done by operating system. =================== My keyboard driver =================== 1. This is program written in C using Xlib library. 2. It can supports ITRANS, INSCRIPT, PHONETIC, TYPEWRITER and any Custom Keyboard layout. 3. Not only for Indian languages but also European and Chinese ,Korean, Japanese language Input. 4. It supports all kinds of right to left scripts which are in Unicode range. 5. I have full control over the keyboard. Currently it supports Only Unicode devanagari itrans input. Works perfect on OpenOffice and Koffice. Similarity : It works at system level similar to Bolnagari but have some problems which can be eliminated. Future releases will include : 1. On fly selection of keyboard layout. 2. Display of possible key combinations for keypress. You only need to make changes in the SMTP settings in your mail client. 1) Set the outgoing SMTP server as smtp.vsnl.net 2) Switch on outgoing server authentication 3) If the client doesn't automatically use the POP login & password for SMTP also, you need to manually put these in. 3a) Make sure you put in the FULL email address as the username, not just the login. I had hell until I figured this out - and the helpdesk didn't know about this. 3b) If you need to set authentication type in your client use "LOGIN" not "PLAIN" or "CRAM-MD5". What these are called depend on your client. Just try sending a test mail to yourself with each possible authentication type till it works :-) Chirag Wazir http://chirag.freeshell.org

Regards, Rony. hi rony, as far as linmodems are concerned i have no idea... ....but as far as ur concern abt no firewall in linux is concerned, try installing "clamav" (its a firewall for linux). Fedor Core 3 problem

Hello I am trying to install fedora core 3 on my system. But every time after booting and showing language selection menu it shows me bug like assertions(sector<=3) and assertions(head>=0) and installation abort abnormally Please help me what is wrong Thank you Regards, Komal

Hi Karunakar, I am sachin I was working with Prof. Jitendra Shah till March 2004. I have developed Keyboard driver for Unicode Devanagari input. With this it is possible to type in openoffice, koffice, konqueror,mozilla,kate,kwrite,qtranslator,kbabel etc. using itrans. and it can also support inscript,phonetic, typewriter not only for devanagri but for all indian language input. can u give me Indlinux as platform for my work. I would like to meet u for showing the demo. also I need some help on xlib to eliminate problems in the driver. Dear All, I am Shailesh........ I have go all four Cd's of Fedora Core 3 I have a Combo Drive. Any body on the list interested in getting a those can mail me personally.
