I guess what they meant was "Suse Linux Desktop
Edition 9.1" that's what they bundle with the
product. But they should have been more precises.

Hi Sajid,
Tagtag.com has an excellent online Wap Emulator, but Tagtag servers are extremely slow due to high traffic other way to access it is through www.wap41.com. Currently I'm not aware of any offline Wap emulator for Linux but Openwave provides SDK with Wap emulator for M$ and I guess its free.
Check this out.

Incase you dont find WAP emulator for Linux you can try out OpenWave through WINE guess that will do the job.

First of all let me tell that there are 4 kind of Cables available for
Nokia.
1.FBUS
2.MBUS
3.FBUS & MBUS (switchable)
4.Flasher Cable
For your information a Flasher Cable communicate with your PC trough LPT
port instead of COM port as it is with regular FBUS/MBUS cable AKA Data
Cable.
I assume that you also dont know the difference between FBUS and MBUS.. Here
it goes:
The FBUS has two pins for Transmitting and receiving data. The MBUS has one
pin for bi-directional data transfer. When some of the components inside the
mobile phone are changed, they need to use the MBUS. Only Nokia Data Cable
has both FBUS & MBUS which are according to the pin out name.
Now wat all a Data Cable (FBUS & MBUS) can do:
A Data Cable is generally used for servicing phones such as changing IMEI
or open phone lock as well as SIM lock, it can be also used for changing
mobile phone screen logo, typing SMS from PC keyboard, designing unique
ringtone, etc. Other feature is that it can be used to send Fax and browse
Internet. One can also customise phone menu, prebuilt ringtones also
prebuilt Picture messages.
A Flasher Cable is EXTENSIVELY used for Flashing software to cell. I can
explain Flashing process but its not short, so checkout the pointers below.

I sure this is sufficient for you.
Its been about 2 weeks that we are discussing on this topic and few of us
have showed interest in this, why dont we held a meet for this project. I
cant we have enough material to start off but we can meet and discuss out
the possibilities.
