Unable to connect using PPPOE

Hi All I am using debian and try to connect to net using= pppoe and unable to do so. virus filtering with .procmailrc

Won't the person also experience a force in the direction of rotation... at a tangent at the point where he is standing on the circumference ??? in simpler words fall forward or backward... [OT] Mobile Viruses

Hello Luggers, Has anyone experienced any viruses in their java enabled GPRS mobile phones? My friend's nokia 6600 (GPRS is active) kept getting picture messages from unknown numbers and today suddenly the entire contacts list is gone blank. Any idea if this has happenned to others too? On rare occasions, it has even restarted on its own or shut down. All this has started after GPRS was enabled about 6 months ago. Regards, Rony.

Helo Linuxers ......need help on this one We have encountered this problem during the installation of Subversion 1.0.1 (CVS) on RH 9. The server also hosts and runs the following :- - Oracle 9.2 - Samba/Apache/FTP/Webmin. Any help in this region is most welcome This specific installation has been carried out by our technical team and they have oracle 9.2 installed on RH9 subversion 1.0.1 installed After changing memory parameters of kernel the svn(subversion) gives segmentation fault error. Tried resetting memory to normal and recompiling svn. No luck. Well, Looking for cures of cancer might be a good idea and a worthwhile endeavour. I mean why waste precious system resources to a project that was officially abandoned by the U.S. Government. Also, even i think its not useful. You might save some lives anyway by helping research on Cancer and other such things which might help the humanity more. pppoe in Thane

Hello People! I know this topic was raised here a couple of months ago, but since it didn't have enough information, I'd like to try again. NOTE: You don't really have to be using a debian machine to put in your ten cents (or in this case, ten paise, which sadly no one cares to even look at these days). Does anybody have any idea whatsoever, about this cable operator who went by the name of Sachinet in Thane. Well, if you do, you probably also know that they closed shop recently. The folks who took over, run a pppoe sever that I've had no luck getting connected to. I was trying to help a friend there set up a Debian Woody box from a netinst minimal cd. Since, I started off with setting up a win xp partition first, I could go in there and download the right package (a stable pppoe package from debian, snd yes it works from win xp). But, using it has been frustrating since the server sends back authentication error messages. By the way, this is my first time finishing a debian installation with a pppoe connection. I guess what I need from anyone out there is help identifying the kind of server these guys are running and possibly how to connect correctly to it (username format, etc).
