Need help with activating a network card in RHL 8.0

My installation detects the card as REaltek.... but won't activate it on startup or via the Network applet I have a disk which came along with the card which contains a .c file which seems to be the driver for 6.X . the installation procedure seems to ask me to build the .c file (I have never seen something like this in Win..) Anyways I did that and apart from a whole lot of error messages.. no new developments. There's a make file which also does the same thing.. But RHL seems to have installed a default driver What is wrong here... Thanks, Gishu Pillai

Problems with ILUG Acronym.

Hello Gnu/Linux Users, I wanted to say that when we say ILUG in ILUG-BOM, aren't we ignoring "GNU" ? I think so because, it's "GNU/Linux", not the Linux kernel alone that we support. So ILUG should be more appropriately called IGLUG. And so, ILUG-BOM should be IGLUG-BOM. I maybe wrong on this since I may not know the reason for this.
