Dear Luggers,
Please help me with a appropriate sol'n for the
following
case:
SRS Client ------> RH9 Proxy ------->SRS Server
Port 80 443
SRS is a SUN Client for monitoring, it communicates
with the SRS Server and sends stats and traps.
Any suggestions for implementing the proxy.
The client would connect to port 80 of the proxy and
subsequent traffic would be diverted via port 443 to
the SRS Server.
Its SSL proxy that i intend to implement, can anybody
point me to NOWTO or reply with a few easy steps to
help me implement the solution quickly.
Thanks and Regards
Biju

Pleas post all queries to the list.
You cant do that. Each cd/dvd has a list of files. You will have to
create that list and save it with each cd.
Maybe someone else will be able to give you sarge cds. Or wait a
while i will be downloading them.

Hey dudes,
I am looking out for a working Pentium I motherboard. I have the rest of the
stuff cpu, memory etc... If someone has a P I motherboard and would like to
help a poor college kid (^^) then please email me on or off the list. I know
many of you must be wondering why am I posting this on a LUG mailing list.
Well, I was in the middle of building a Linux router when the motherboard
died. Actually, the BIOS on the board died. I got a new EEPROM IC (exact
specs), the BIOS image but unfortunately I dont have the programmer to flash
the BIOS. So I am on the look out for another board in working condition. I
got to the part of installing Redhat 9 on my old 1.2GB seagate harddisk when
this happened :(
Please dont brush away this thread as trivial. If you can seriously help me
out in whatever way you can then please email me. I may pay you whatever
little I can. I already have quite a large outstanding bill with my vendor
:P
Thanks!!!
Dinesh

Hi All

want to connect.
No sir. Its a script.
>Your external modem will be /dev/ttyS0 if connected
to com1 or /dev/ttyS1 if connected to com2. In kppp
you may have to add this line as the optional command
in the after connect text box of kppp setup.. 'route
add default ppp0' without the quotes.
Thanks for the suggestion i will try out, I
connect
through a reliance LG-LSI-110 Cordless phone. Made a
symbolic link from /dev/input/ttyACM0 -> /dev/modem.
The problem is pcquest linux 2004 and enterpise
linux version 3 work easy and there icons don't freeze
when i connect. Also when i uninstalled iptables those
errors where gone, But the freeze was still there.
I am using Sarge (Testing) from PCQUEST dvd. Any other
Debian users here who connect through Relaince
cordless phone.

We do. Proximity card based multidoor solutions. 5000++ users
individual door ACL. Files for loading into windowze based
HR/salary packages. Backend postgres. Frontend browser based.
So your client can continue to suffer M$. Of course we
strongly recommend using gnu/linux (we take no responsibility
for any issues with the windows machine).
for details contact me off list.

No. RFID. Infact that is what u should be looking at longterm.

Barcode readers have serial (usb) interfaces. Should be trivial to
read. There is already an app to write barcodes - kbarcode.
And linbar to read.
Freesoftware coders have already done 90% of the work for almost
everything. It's the last mile and the business plan that u have
to provide :-). Should u need any help on the hardware i will help.

I am sorry for being little naive here, but is it a NTP based system which you are currently seeking ? Or is it something else ?

Hi all,
we were using jdk1.2.2 , further for testing tomcat -
got installed jdk1.5 version , where we found some
applets doesn't seem to work.
In reverting back to jdk1.2.2 , i am getting the
following error with java :
Can't load library
"/usr/local/jdk1.2.2/jre/lib/i386/libjava.so", because
/usr/local/jdk1.2.2/jre/lib/i386/libjava.so: symbol
__libc_wait, version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file
libc.so.6 with link time reference
Could not create the Java virtual machine.
How could i rectify the problem.

Machine 1: FreeBSD 4.9
Machine 2: RH9 (with mtnl dialup)
Machine 3: FC3
All 3 are also connected via a Netgear MR814v2 (router/firewall) <---> Dlink DSL
Router provided by TataIndicom.
Machine 2 is connected to MTNL ALSO.
Problem:
Port Forwarding(80) in our netgear router to FreeBSD and RH9 fails whereas same
works for the FC3 machine.
Firewall rules on FC3 and RH9 are the same.
By fail i mean, the setting takes place but when trying to connect, it fails.
When trying to connect directly to the RH9 machine via the MTNL dynamic IP, it
works fine. both SSH and HTTP.
SSH (port 22) also fails similarly for RH9 and FreeBSD but works fine with the
FC3 machine.
As remote management is ON, we can connect to the router from outside.
There is an option to make a server the DMZ server. Even when the RH9 and FREEBSD
machines are made the default DMZ, it does not accept connections.
Any clues? Seems a bit bizarre frankly. But then again, most things seemingly
are.
thanks
