Particularly since we would need C.As for doing a good job. Though i doubt it will be useful to anybody since it depends on the access control hardware we make. The hardware includes fingerprint readers, proximity card readers, PIN readers, doorlocks, sensors, framegrabbing, alarms etc. across multiple locations. Actually just plain tied up with voip stuff, which has plenty of hardware and is very interesting. Also my wife Punit writes all the software. And my machine runs woody + some backports installing the latest wxPython libs requires several deps to be installed which will break my other stuff. Jeez am i lazy. There is ample scope for business solutions on GNU/linux. Which is what i keep cribing about everytime someone say M$ or wonderful new licence. Also try doing a fraction of the above using M$. Infact just try keeping a system with a closed app like the above running for a few days. rgds jtd

Virtualisation

Hello All, A few months back there was a discussion here on running 2 OSes in one machine and I had put forth a concept of having multiple OSes in one machine and simulate multiple computers in one machine to reduce hardware costs. I had suggested a system of having a motherboard that has a bios which will create seperate hardware quotas for each OS. Hi, I Have lost root password for mysql , I have got mysql daemon started in my machine , I have tried to login to mysql using the following command mysqladmin -u root -p <password> it just doesnt Allow me to login, Please let me know how do i change the root password for mysql regards Amit
