Has anyone tried out web hosting services in Mumbai. I'm looking for the
following configuration - Linux, PHP 4.3.x(preferably 4.3.8+) and Apache
with FTP and .htaccess support. I mainly want to run DokuWiki on it.
Google showed results but most of them were based outside Mumbai. I
would like to hear some experiences.

Hi Friends,
I have Linux cluster with 5 HD, with One disk used has boot disk and
other Data disk. And i want to change my home Dir path, ie when i log
into the machine as user, i should be redirected to other dir in
another disk . How can be this achieved

Hi All,
I am using Fedora core 1 and i have downoaded ebtables-brnf-3_vs_2.4.22.diff.gz file for ebtables configuration.
I want this to enable ethernet Bridgining on my LAN and also wants to put few rules of firewall.
I have searched a lot but still not able to patch ebtables with my kernel.
Could anyone of you help me in this regard.
I need configuration steps as well as files which will required for configuration.

I recently bought a HCL branded PC with 2.93 GHz, 512 MB DDR, 80GB
SATA, DVD combo drive, intex speakers... I tried running a live
version of Ubuntu on it, but it is not able to identify the cdrom
drive. So the live version fails to load and so does the installation.
The DVD combo drive is a TSST corp CDW/DVD TS-H492A.
If anyone has the drivers for this or can provide any help at all
whatsoever, please do!

I have been trying to erase a CD-RW(moserbaer) using
cdrecord utility (on kernel 2.6.11).
Writing o CD-R is not an issue.
To erase the disk I issued the command "cdrecord -v
dev=/dev/hdd blank=all"
After issuing this command it receive the following

I searched on google there have been people who have
faced similar problems albeit with different kernel
and different cd writers.
I also see an option '-force' but it comes with a
warning about damaging CD-RW media. Has anyone tried
this option?
Has anyone come across a similar problem? Any
workarounds or hints?

Wow! I have been contemplating buying one :) What make and model is it?
What was the damage to your bank balance?
Debian, Fedora, SuSE, Mandrake, CentOS (RHEL clone) are a few that have
AMD64 editions.
I would suggest that you try the AMD64 edition of whichever 32 bit
distro you are using now. I have been using SuSE 9.2/AMD64 for the past
year and I am quite happy with it.

Ubuntu Linux has 64 bit support. I have the CD, but currently not in Mumbai
:(.
