With 15% off, that comes to 1.7K :o which I might end up shelling out, with the next rush of blood to the head. Sadly, seems like Indians don't read. There is no reason for a book a year old not to be printed for us. I bought a book for 1.7K, which was out in 1999. No indian version. Enough aggravation for today... Thanks for replying, Gishu

Kmail won't fetch my email...

Hi Guys, I got fed up of hotmail and its non-threaded interface. So I created a new gmail account just for using this mailing list :P. Anyway, I enabled pop3 @ gmail and everything seems to be working fine. But there is a problem. I sent myself an email just to test whether kmail is working alright. The email was sent fine and it has landed up in my inbox. But when I asked kmail to fetch my emails, it says no new mail. I logged into the web interface of gmail and sure enough the email was there. Why wont kmail fetch that email? Any ideas? Also, is my email looking ok? I am wrapping the lines at 78. Should I change it? BTW I am using FC2 with kmail 1.6.2 -- Dinesh A. Joshi

The only solution to your problem would be to wear a board saying 'My name is X pronounced X' (even then dimwits like me might call you Kopeel coz we don't read something right in front of our noses) But then where do we hang the board for GNU/Linux ?

Anyone know of people who deliver computer books in Mumbai and don't take away your house when they go back ? The most competitive quote for the ruby 'Pickaxe book' was 2K. Any suggestions that you yourself would try ? You could reply offlist just in case someone takes offense. Thanks, Gishu Pillai

I am hypothesising: The UIDL of the message to yourself, sent by KMail to your GMail mbox, matches the UIDLs in KMail db and therefore does not download it. As a test case, use fetchmail to poll your GMail inbox and see if your message is pulled.
