Usually cyber cafes use some sort of customized software to keep time track,
block sites n similar things, small tweaks to those software can do this n
much more (desktop sharing).
A password wudnt be really useful without knowing where it is being put, so
need something that tells the website etc.

the web about the suspect device was on a CDAC website.

Hello,
Just like the dozens of forwarded mails that warn us of the so called
'dangers' in many things, products, places etc, I received a mail
warning the reader about keyboard security. I brushed it off but went on
google to check it out. It is no. 11 and goes like this....
"11. Beware of New FRAUD strategies - Keyboard
PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHENEVER YOU'RE USING A PC AT A PUBLIC PLACE (Like
INTERNET CAFES..ETC).CHECK THE BACK OF THE PC AND SEE IF THE BELOW
DEVICE IS THERE..IF SO..DO NOT USE IT!!!!"

I would not take this seriously but it is from the site of CDAC, so is
there any truth in this or the site itself is some fraud using CDAC's name?

You probably aren't using the correct output stream. I'd suggest using HTTP
or RTP (Realtime) for proper streaming under destination options. Also,
check the Transcoding to get the correct A/V codecs for target device. IE
and FF can handle only certain stream / codecs natively.

Thanks... for response.
I tried VLC and I could do streaming properly over the Internet. Now I am
learning how to do Scheduling of videos.
VLC is really cool tool. But I found problem running vlc videos on IE. Also
on firefox with windows you need to install VLC player with Mozilla plugin
selected. One more issue is installing vlc on production CentOS server. I
couldnt install it with yum. May be I need to compile it.
I will work on it and post doc for it.
Thanks n Regards

Please start a new thread. Replying to an old email with a new
subject, does not create a new thread.
You can (with debian, never tried it with RH). But it's dicey, as you
require a newer libc6, gcc, modutils and initram tools.
Any reason for not switching to a newer distro?
