I have 10.10 cd iso image. I want to add ubuntu manual to this iso image
such that, after burning this iso image to cd, in live cd mode and after
installation that ubuntu manual should appear in the desktop. I am using
acetoneISO. I wanted to know the location in iso image where to add the
manual.

I work with on Ubuntu 10.04 with Gnome as Desktop Environment. I have all
the toolbars on autohide mode as it gives me full space on the screen to
work.
This change , though, is more comfortable for me but is also causing some
inconvenience. I often lose track of time spent.
So, I want a way by which I could keep a widget or app like thing at top
right corner of my screen (taking minimum space, hence time in DIGITAL
format), which can show time.
OR
if I can integrate a digital clock on righmost side of the active window.
Any idea on how this can be achieved?
I am looking for simple linux hacks or some config changes to do so.
Otherwise will have to do so in java , Qt etc.
Please pour in your ideas...

Govt of Maharashtra has placed the draft eGovernance Policy on their
website ( http://maharashtra.gov.in/ ) for citizens' comments.
I think one should take this opportunity to log the expectations from such
policy as citizens.
Besides general comments, as FOSS users, we should also insist on
inter-operability of the Govt platforms (if not use of FOSS for building
such platforms).
We should make a joint representation to the govt. on behalf of bombay-lug??
That will be a better way of impacting the decision making process. We could
have an open-source lobby, which would stress for open standards.

There are very few GNOME 3.0 launch parties planned in the developing

If you know any contacts who might be interested in hosting a party
and getting free GNOME goodies mailed to them, please help spread

Hello all,
When I looked to buy a branded laptop, I felt much bad that I can customize
a laptop *BUT* I MUST select a M$ operating system. And this really is like
forcing us to pay money even if we do not want to buy it. Is there any talks
before this post or is there a way to buy a branded laptop (like HP, DELL or
a sony vaio).
If there is no way, why are we not even trying to make a way?

Thats just two lines are not enough. i think we should have a strong
oposition. what i am suggesting is. Lets form a open source forum for
business. If there is already then get their help, or create new. and have a
strong platrform which will look for health of open source business and
which will be face of 'busienss' of foss in India.
When i go to our nearest mall and i asked sales person that i wll pay half
price in advance but get me without os laptop they just simply declined. They
want me to buy ms only laptop.
Please have a look at
*Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Monopolies and Restrictive Trade Practices*
(MRTPC)
http://www.mca.gov.in/Ministry/mrtpc.html
*Competition Commission of India*
http://www.cci.gov.in/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=18
We should demand healthy competition in computer industry in india through
our forum. Let me know if we can seriosly do something about this.
Your suggestions are welcome.

What is the cost of N600?
I have been looking at the Buffalo models that come with dd-wrt
firmware 1. WZR-HP-G300NH, 2. WHR-HP-G300N, 3. WHR-HP-GN

Please share your experience with any of the above?
