First of all my apologies for my organization's disclaimer that will get
appended at the end of my mail. That's the reason why I keep silence on
the
list. The external mails are blocked as well and I do not intend to
change
the job just because of this reason.

The rules, regulations and procedures today are much better/simpler than
those a few decades ago. Well they might not be the best or simplest but
we
are changing. A system so huge does require due time to change.
We are changing much faster in past few years IMO.

Are you serious? Or is it just the frustration erupting? Think before
you suggest such extreme steps. What happens after you kill all the
politicians?
I would rather suggest you to go out and vote for the best
(least corrupt?) candidate available. Or be a candidate yourself.
I believe killing somebody does not solve <em>any</em> problem.

Who is denying that we need an overhaul?
The process has already started IMO.

Is everyone really equal? Or are we just saying that? Open your eyes,
Look around. Look at the matrimonial ads. Most of them specifically
mentions even the sub-cast required. Don't make up your opinions just by
looking at the BCs/OBCs in metros. And even in the metros the situation
is
far from good. Look at the workers at various construction sites/roads.
Look at the beggars (Jari-mari, snake charmers etc) people cleaning the
city, people sorting the junk, People doing all the dirty jobs they are
from
a specific section of our society. They don't know where their kids were
born let alone the birth certificate and cast certificate.
This is the section largely away from even primary education.
And reservation does help people to become stronger.
But again it is a gradual process which spans across generations.
You cannot expect to undo the effects of a system which was
running smoothly for millions of years within 50 odd years.
There are tribes where deaths due to malnutrition are common.
Being a father myself I can only imagine how it feels to watch your kid
dying in front of your eyes due to hunger. That explains the existence
of
extremist groups like Naxalites. And reservations not reaching right
people
does not mean we should not have reservations at all. Just as we do
require
laws despite the numerous loopholes in it.
<disclaimer>I do not get benefits from any of the
reservations</disclaimer>

Again I doubt if you really mean what you say.
If we take this very list as a sample you will find that almost
everybody is
At the current position due to his/her talent. Even our President, Prime
Minister, Finance minister are on those positions only due to their
talent.
I would expect you to be more responsible while making statements on a
public forum. You just cannot make grossly incorrect statements like
that.

So I guess you would grab the first opportunity to get out of this shit
by
migrating to greener pastures. I would rather stay back here and do my
Rs. 0.02 worth of efforts to make this country a better place to live
for
the generations to come.
Attitude expressed in your mail will do more harm than good to the
nation.
I am not overly patriotic who would cry after hearing "aye mere watan ke
logo" or blame Pakistan at every opportunity.
I strongly recommend reading the latest "Business Today". People _are_
thinking about the issues our country is facing and efforts are being
made
to improve the conditions. Just being cynical does not help.
Grow up.
