Hi All, Applications are invited for filling up the system administrator [temporary] position for the Spoken Tutorial Project <http://spoken-tutorial.org/>, IIT Bombay, Powai, Mumbai - 400076. The requisite qualification & experience etc. are given below: *Position:* Systems Administrator (Temporary)* *Location:* Spoken Tutorial Project, IIT Bombay, Powai, Mumbai-400076 *Job Description:* This position is under the Technical cadre. It involves maintenance of server ,network and lab hardware and systems for the project. Linux Systems Administration with strong skills in performance tuning and excellent analytical and trouble-shooting abilities. *Essential Qualification:* B.E/B.Tech/ or M.Sc/MCA/M.Tech/equivalent or PG Diploma in IT/CS from reputed institutes with minimum of 2 years relevant experience . BCA/BSc.IT or equivalent with minimum of 3 years relevant experience may also be considered. *Proven track record of 2to3 years of system administration experience in one or more of the following:* Design and implementation of Industrial network and system infrastructure. Setup and configuration of network equipment, switches, firewalls, antivirus, IPS etc. Install and Configure servers. Experience on Linux and Windows are a must. Able to implement Virtualization, security policies, clusters etc. Knowledge of basic networking is desired, certifications like MCSE, CCNA and/or Red Hat Certification would be an added advantage. Should possess excellent analytical and logical skills. Does anyone know a grep like utility for pdf files? I know that one can search using CTRL-F in evince but I want to search on command line for further processing. The Spoken Tutorial project is an initiative of the "Talk to a Teacher" project funded by the National Mission on Education through Information Communication through Technology, launched by MHRD, Govt of India. Purchasing a RaspberryPi in Mumbai

Hi, I will be visiting Mumbai soon and am interested in picking up a couple of Raspberry Pi devices. Preferably the Rpi Zero or the new RPi 3 Model A. Does anyone have good suggestions on where I can get these? Could I pick them up at Lamington Road? If so, any suggestions for the specific shop? Debian : installer : graphical : which toolkit?

Hello, I tried the Debian "Graphical Install" during installation and the GUI felt quite nice. Very light, focused, and clean. Is there any particular name for the toolkit being used and is there any way to use that toolkit for projects other than the Debian graphical installer? Thank you, ~Mayuresh

Debian : 9.6 : installer : netinst : with extra firmware : no wifi configuration post install

Hello, I have finally managed to download the unofficial CD for Debian 9.6 with the extra firmware and drivers. The boot-up, wifi network configuration, and installation when through absolutely smoothly. The problem started after the first boot. There is no wifi configuration pre-built on the system, and I have no idea about how to configure the same. Would someone with the knowledge and experience please guide me through this? Or atleast point me to some material I could read? Thank you, ~Mayuresh
