Hello World, We have openings for Java Developer in Canada based MNC located in Mumbai.I being a GNU/Linux enthusiast thought I should post the job as my contribution towards FOSS and more thing we this company work on Debian Linux not Windows so one more reason to apply for. Job Criteria, Exp Required :- 3 years and above in java Minimum of 3 years of OOAD and web-based programming experience using Java and J2EE to build large-scale applications in an enterprise environment. Experience with J2EE, JSP, Servlets, Struts, Hibernate, OJB, Spring. HTML, JavaScript, CSS, XML, AJAX Package:- 4.0 Lacs p.a. and above Location :- Mumbai P.S :- I cannot post the company details due to some legal issues as in the company we internally know about the openings.

Hey all, Some folks from the Mozilla Foundation are down in India and are going to be in Mumbai from the 21st - 25th. We're having a meetup cum dinner event (food n drinks sponsored by Mozilla:)), at our space in Khar, (W) [1] on Sunday the 21st, 7pm onwards. [[we have space for 50, and while we're fairly certain we won't turn anyone back, putting your name on the RSVP will help us plan things better]] It should be a fun evening and interesting discussions and presentations about the mozilla project, web standards and the future of open video. Software RAID setup

Dear Friends, I have a webserver with two 160GB SATA HDDs. I have installed Centos5.X on one of the HDD. I need help in setting up software RAID 1 on second HDD, so that if any HDD fails we can switched to second HDD. My office is in Malad West, near DMART, Link road. Looking for a Linux job opportunity

Dear List Members, I'm a Commerce graduate and I've been working in the HR/Admin back-office related field for the past 6 years. However, I've come to realise that I'm not suited for this field of work and I wish to change my field of work. I've been using Linux on my home machine for the past 7 years and have been an ardent supporter of the FLOSS movement. I'm well-versed with the basics of a Linux-based system and have worked with various applications. I would love to explore the opportunity of working in any Linux related field. I'm willing to start from the very bottom without any salary expectations and working hours and location constraints. I request the List members to kindly guide me further in this regard. Linux alternative to Irfanview

Hello, I was looking up an alternative to IrfanView which is a light weight doze based utility for quick image editing. Found 'showfoto'. It is a cut throat competitor for IrfanView except that it lacks the batch conversion utility that is very handy in Irfanview. However other features are terrific to touch up photos, change brightness contrast etc. The Text tool is also lovely. You can scroll through the font sizes and see the actual result go big and small live. Overall a great piece of software. The best part of it is that I did not find it in google in spite of a reasonable search. It was found in the apt repos of my Lenny, silently awaiting its turn to see the world. -- Regards, Rony. Hi. I have a linux server, centos 5.X I have following mount points on the server and I need to restart the server.
