Hi,
Try and edit your /etc/inetd.conf file .
Search for the imap and pop2 file and insert .120 so the final
file looks as follows:
pop-3 stream tcp nowait.120 root /usr/sbin/tcpd
ipop3d
imap stream tcp nowait.120 root /usr/sbin/tcpd
imapd
Restart inetd with /etc/rc.d/init.d/inet restart.
This is to increase the default POP hits to 120 hits per sec for
high load email servers. This helped us to resolve the same issue
with redhat 6.2 in our office.
